Transitory Truths

A collaborative project and exhibition of students from the MA Environmental Art at Aalto University Helsinki, Willem de Kooning Academie Rotterdam, Windesheim International Zwolle and the Design Department of the HFBK Hamburg.

Transitory Truths is an exhibition in tents. The students will create a world within a tent and we will host design discussions and events in and around this temporary space.

Where?

21st to 26th of May 2012, to coincide with The Northern World Mandate Cumulus Conference and the World Design Capital, Helsinki, Finland

Who?

Environmental art students from Aalto University with Professor Markku Hakuri, students from Windesheim International with Professor Marieke de Jong and Professor Dick Kleingeld, students from the Willem de Kooning Academie Rotterdam with Professor Erik Jan van der Geer and Professor Marleen van Arendonk, and design students from the HFBK Hamburg with Professor Julia Lohmann and Angelika Seeschaaf Veres, product designer and instructor at OCAD University, Toronto

As of September 2011 Angelika Seeschaaf Veres from eeaa design is taking up the challenging and exciting task to teach industrial design at the Ontario College of Art and Design University (OCAD U) in Toronto. She is also teaching a newly introduced ‘Open Studio’ an interdisciplinary design course.

‘As Canada’s University of the imagination, OCAD will lead in art and design education and research, contributing significantly to the fields of art and design, as well as local and global cultural initiatives and knowledge and invention across a wide range of disciplines.’
